I get a call the next morning from the florist who sent it. She was slightly confrontational asking what was wrong with her service. I calmly explained, again, what I told 1800Flowers. Then she insisted that we return the arrangement since they refused to pay her. I just told her to take it up with 1800Flowers: who has my money, with whom I did business and with whom I had agreed was a decent make-good. That's when she started getting aggravated and insisted that she was going to send someone over to get the arrangement back. I thought this was extremely inappropriate to take away someone's gift, albeit substandard. I did explain my arrangement with 1800Flowers and again told her to talk to them and to not dare to take away a gift from my parents. She got worse, called me a cheapskate, threatened to call the sheriff.

This is a great florist who makes some of the prettiest arrangements. They were very fast at delivering the flowers that I had ordered and provided some very friendly service.

A Designer's Touch was tasked to fulfill the order by 1800Flowers.

I would be careful with this establishment when ordering a gift unseen for a delivery. I never would have known if I hadn't seen the pics. Bottom line was that either they were clearly trying to take advantage of me or they have no design sense whatsoever. This may by insulting to them and may even be an anomaly, but the pics don't lie and I wish I could post those here.

When my gracious step mother posted her thank you on social media with pictures, I was horrified! What they got was something that I would have paid $40-50 for. It was half the height and you could see through it the pine boughs were so sparse. My step mother counted 23 roses. The picture she showed me had one or two pinecones a few larger ornaments and not much babies breath. I wish I could post pics here to show the difference between what I thought I was getting and what was actually delivered. I understand that exact match is nearly impossible but this was clearly a completely different and uglier arrangement.

I was very disappointed in the "dish garden" that I ordered for a very dear Aunt. This was for my Uncle's funeral. What arrived was 3 Easterish type baskets wired together. In one was an orchid that was improperly staked. Each of the other two baskets had very small plants (with the price tag of $5.95 on the bottom of one) and Spanish moss around them. They weren't even in any kind of a pretty pot. Just like you get from Lowes in the plastic container. It was horrifying to think that cost $80! It looked like $30 tops and not funeral appropriate!!! I called and left a voicemail. No return call. I replied to a how was your service survey... No reply! My best advice... Stay away from this business. They definitely do NOT have a designer's touch!!! And they clearly don't care if you're dissatisfied with their work!

Via 1800Flowers, I ordered Holiday Flower Tree® Luxury, a $200+, 2-foot tall, arrangement with 36 roses, more frosted pinecones and babies breath, tiny red ornaments scattered throughout a thick, lush cone-shaped tree of spruce boughs that had a string of lights. It looked very impressive and a perfect gift for my Father and Step Mother whom I could not visit this year for Christmas.

Having spent ~$200 on this gift and feeling a bit taken advantage of, I called 1800Flowers and complained. I offered to send pictures, but they were very and we came to an acceptable solution: they refunded a portion of my money for the inconvenience/apology and found an arrangement that was able to make it by Christmas eve (half the value of my original purchase). And since, not knowing how much I spent, my folks were enjoying the arrangement - I asked that they not have to hand that over. I really didn't want them to have to deal with the make good. So I was out ~$100 and was getting what I valued at $140 worth of arrangements, I am happy...until...
